Well, we are open for traffic. This is myself and Edwin's first venture into blogging. I am not a big fan of it but it is a way to get interesting day to day topics we discuss here at work out to the world.
Day 1
Out first topic..........................
The long summer with no football.
As Ed and I sit here at work "changing lives" everyday we sit here and ponder why the NFL and college football off seasons are so damn long. First thing we do every morning when we get here is 1.) Edwin jumps on http://www.espn.com/ 2.) I jump on http://www.chicagobears.com/ This is pretty much our morning for the first hour to hour and a half. Edwin likes to read the banter of the talking heads over there at ESPN while I myself like to get right on the Bears message board and listen to all of the "we are going after Plax or we are trading Briggs and a second rounder for Marshall". That is the typical stuff on the Bears message board that I suffer through everyday.
Well back to the topic of the day! The NFL off season is way too long. I can't even count how many times I have said that to myself. I can only watch Jay Cutler youtube videos so many times before I get tired of them. I can only watch the highlight video of the 2006 Bears team so many times http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6205418922373564512&q=2006+chicago+bears&ei=VVJ2SL6fCoqUrgLP5rWiCw&hl=en. Well i don't really want to type too much more today!!! I believe Edwin will be hitting up the blog here pretty soon. Stay tuned.................................................

All I have to say is....... interesting
ReplyDeleteThanks Mike for your daily cup of tea. I'm not going to let this blog be exclusively about the Wolverines & the Bears. (Although I do realize this blog belongs to you and Ed). You will just have to deal with me interjecting my thoughts on the Boilermakers & the Colts!!!!!
ReplyDeleteMy prediction for Purdue 5-7. Tough year this year for your Boilermakers!
ReplyDeleteMy prediction for the Colts 8-8. New coach makes it a tough year.
What else is there to talk about with those two teams?
HA! You're so funny. You're sitting on this Bears pedestal as if they have been an elite team for years. I know you're a huge Bears fan - but they're like Madonna or Lionel Richie - all of they're best times were in the 80s (sans their LOSS to the COLTS in the SuperBowl). I'll take a down year for the Colts - but I think they'll be more like 10-4 instead of 8-8. Nice try though. You may be right about the Boilermakers, but that's not saying much....Even a broken clock is right twice a day!
ReplyDeleteMrs Jones
Clearly I meant 10-6
ReplyDeleteWell you are a woman so I didn't expect you to understand the football schedule anyways.
